Where are we?

I fear we’ve forgotten what human is. Yet wonder what this robotic sentience perceives in us. We forgot that sweat slickens the skin. The blood sheds from the hips. That the waste is relieved from the flesh. The wrinkles are earned from the life. Have we forgotten that this life, this free will, this sentience is worth more than our comprehension of it? An invisible turbulence wages on for the breath of life in vessels, yet we stretch our forms against a blackened glass. We wonder why a robotic replacement awaits its arrival. To be human is to be sickly, fleshy, disgusting, and utterly free. You are the earth that cradles yours steps. You are whom the stars seek. You are a capsule of misunderstood life, present at an incalculable moment. Yet you find that there is room for such vitriol amongst your fellow man. A cynicism that echoes on virtual forums. Beings starve on an earth that gives boundlessly. A insatiable greed devours as we are formulated for internalized violence. If one hates themselves with such vehemence, violence becomes inevitable. At its zenith, it is an expectation. Evil has a way of veiling between logic and normality. An inversion that if micro-dosed enough, the serving of poison tastes like medicine. Mediocrity siphons the authentic and you are left with an inhumanity that orchestrates a putrid symphony. We forgot that it is together the notes are sung. The lies rewritten to avoid notice. United are those that are blind and alone one is true. A human race that falls for illusion of superiority for the sake of a bottomless nothing. Is your wealth in the experience or finite solution? Have we forgotten this life is one dead souls await? Have we forgotten the demons that lurk await our fear? Have we forgotten this life is all that it seems? Yet we let the illusions lead and our souls seek reprieve.
