I remember them within every scar

Because I remember how they danced and haunted me in the light

Cringing with every sliver of shine

Contorting to every demise

Shivering with jovial boyance with every moon’s eclipse

Here I am

Bearing it all

I remember what lonely felt like

And I remember since I locked away the key

Damning myself to a torturous existence

How could I ever imagine a pain like this from the hands of another?

Unfathomable to let anyone in

Yet, I stand without armour

Boundaries are recognized and reality checks are spoken word of choice
