Illuminate Love
You asked me what loving you is like. I chuckled. I don’t think you fathom the affair that we share and how effervescent it is. A match is lit with the intention of ignition. Elements align just for those two. At this moment, the term infinite couldn’t be any more of a confine for we are. Flames flicker and dance with a wind that could easily overcome this delicate beam. Yet, this fire merges with winds only to pick up momentum. Breaths in between us two leave space for tension to build. Hands locked in between stares. It’s times like this where I swear we’ve met before. Two energies that cannot help but unravel unto each other. Knowing you reminds me to talk to the moon about how you pull me in. “How do you do it? The ocean crushes ships. Yet, with all the distance, you still find a way to intertwine with one another.” Stimulating. Intensifying. Gratification. You are the very thing that I was meant to meet this lifetime and the one after. A little bit of forever embodied in you and I wasn’t keen on missing this ending. The one where happily ever after drives us to near madness only driving us into one another. An ever-changing endless dance. Never losing one within the other. But growing through each other. An infinite exchange of euphoria and flourishment found in the flames we ignited in a lifetime’s past. Words are disheveled, stripping us to our mere existence. So when you ask me what it’s like to love you, I will always maintain a jovial smirk. “Oh my dear, it would take this little bit of forever to explain only half of it to you.”
