Forever was a day ago

May my words never seek to divide you, but merely grace you as a velvety petal from a rose. I chose to love you. In your totality. In your absolute. I seek to uplift the grandeur that you are, but to also hold space for its shadow. To hold presence in times of darkness. To hold curiosity where there’s fear. To remain gentle around your sharp ridges. May my words not fall deaf to you. May our language be as seamless as a season’s change. May I love one who loves like me. The closer I get to me, the closer your love’s enrapture becomes. You appear to be of flesh and bone, yet I see you as holy sacrament. You are covered in truth, and for that, I am honored to share my love with you. May time not confuse our intensity. As a boding flame swoons, may we continue to sway within the warmth of our song. I’m looking at a man that I believe will choose to love me from this day forward. To say it, is so humbling.
